Succulent Letter Craft, Frug-Elegant decor for home or entertaining.

What a fun craft to make! Plus, it becomes a beautiful frug-elegant decor piece for your home or party.

Supplies we used:

  • The large tin letter was a great find at our local craft store- 50% off!
  • Faux succulent plant & the sheet moss- at craft stores, discount decor stores & an added bonus- we were lucky to find the small succulents at the local Dollar Store, along with the floral foam

First, place the foam to fit the shape & use a knife to cut the blocks to fit in the space. Using a spray glue, glue them down. And lay the moss over the K, cutting along the outside of the letter.

It’s easy to trim the moss to fit the shape.

It’s ok to have to patch in some pieces cut from the scraps. They won’t show when fitted in. Next, remove moss, spray the top foam with glue spray & set moss intoplace.

Here, I used the wine bottles to weigh it all down as it dried. The bottles fit this shape well & had some good weight. You can use anything you have around the house.

The the succulents are laid out to get an idea of the placement of each plant.

Using scissors to poke a hole into the moss.

Before you put the succulent into the moss, add hot glue onto the stem of the plant, & then put in place. Using the glue on each stem helps secure each succulent & keep them in place.

Succulent Letter Decor | FrugElegance | www.frugelegance.comSucculents are pretty popular right now but you don’t have to spend a small fortune getting creative with them. We love how this K turned out perfect for our recent wedding decor and next we plan to use it for our Spring Home Decor.

Like the idea of Initial Crafts for your party decor- come see our Rose Petal K Craft! So easy to make & costs under $4 to create!

**Small addition since running the post- several people have asked where can you find faux succulents at a dollar store. Here is a link to a Dollar Tree that is carrying the small ones- check it out. And now, adding in a link to show the metal letters: Here is a link to a sale at Hobby Lobby

Hey Shelly, I am sure you can. We have seen these in the stores & they are pretty expensive. We like saving the $$ & making the project as easy as possible. It really is easy. You don’t have to be “crafty”. Let us know if you give it a try…

Was the tin letter that you bought already hollow or did you have to cut off the top layer?

Hi Nicole, yes the Letter is hollow. They come like that is several other letters & sizes as well. Unfortunately the hollowed side is the “back” of the letter so some letters can’t be used. At least from the store where we purchased them from. Thanx for asking.
