Stack approx 6 sheets of tissue paper. Make 1″ to 1-1/2″ accordion folds. With each fold press to create a crease.

Using a pipe cleaner, wrap around the middle of the folded tissue paper. This will hold the flower together & the extra pipe cleaner ends can be used to attach or hang for your decorations. Using scissors, trim the ends of the tissue into desired shapes. For pointy, cut a V shape. For rounded ends, cut a U shape.

Separate layers one at a time till flower is full.

We use a rubber band to hold the back of the flower together, which gives the front a fuller look.

Getting ready for a backyard party & want the decorations to be colorful & festive. Making Tissue Paper Flowers (or Poms) is easy & inexpensive.

We bought everything at the Dollar Tree: Colorful Tissue Paper, Pipe Cleaners, a bag of Rubber Bands.

Some optional things to consider for your Paper Flowers: 1- Use fishing line to hang your paper flowers. 2- Cut your tissue paper into smaller sizes to create different sizes. 3- Use multiple colors in one flower. 4- Using Glitter Glue, gently add a little sparkle to some of the ends (allow time to dry thoroughly).
