Fall Home Tour FrugElegance Style

10/13/2016 By frugelegance@aol.com 7 Comments

Welcome to our Fall Home Tour FrugElegance Style! It sure doesn’t feel like it but Fall is quickly approaching. We’ve all been home quite a bit more which has kinda’ given us more need to change things up a bit. Nothing major or super complex, just a few easy and affordable touches. Especially since Fall is one of our most favorite seasons to decorate. Come with us for little tour to see how small touches throughout a home can make everything more comfy cozy.

Let’s start at the beginning, the front door. You’ve heard us say in past posts, that a front door is the place your guests get the first impression of your home. Welcome them with some warm & inviting seasonal favorites. Like a beautiful wreath, baskets, plants, lanterns & pumpkins. Keep it simple, no need to overdue it. *Note that there are many Fall plants to choose from. You can never go wrong with a colorful assortment of Mums. Add in some Kale and Flowering Cabbage plants for a total wow factor.

The Kitchen is the heart of a home. We love to have a beautiful centerpiece on the island & one on the table. And don’t forget the best seasonal favorite.. It’s not something to see, but smell… bake some Fall favorite recipes like our Pumpkin Dump Cake & the kitchen, no the whole house will smell fabulous!

All the little touches add up. Many items were previously owned. Some of those items are used & reused in the same spot but many times we like to change things up. We try the best sales & discounts so we also want to try to find a few options online for you to compare. Of course, you should do your own comparing but hopefully we can help you get started.

Front Door:

  • Wreaths, Baskets, Lanterns, Fall Favorite Plants & lots of Pumpkins.

Kitchen:

  • The beautiful urn that holds the fresh herbs is from Pottery Barn. No longer available online, they also have other beautiful options like their Tuscan Planter.
  • Block Signs, A Giant Pear, Candles, Garland & Pumpkins.
  • Our favorite Pear is our of our staple pieces. You will see this Pear in many of our seasonal kitchen decor posts. The cute block signs were purchased awhile ago on clearance but there are lots out there to choose from. Like Kirklands & Amazon to start. A finishing touch is the Fall Garland that hangs on the light fixture.

Living Room:

    • Pumpkin Pillow, with larger pillows were a great find at a Restoration Hardware Outlet Sale.
    • A warm & cozy faux fur blanket.
  • String Lights hanging in the faux tree with a few hand painted Dollar Store pumpkins in the base.

Misc areas:

    • Pre-Lit Grapevine Pumpkin,
    • Battery Operated Flickering Candles & lots of small assorted Fall knickknacks.
  • A seasonal soap dispenser or decorative bar of soap.

We hope you like our Fall home tour & it inspires you to bring some Seasonal FrugElegance into your home too.
