Easy & Elegant Egg Spring Decor on a Budget

We found these Jumbo “Decorate Me” Eggs at our local Target in their “One Spot” section. That is the area close to the entrance & the products are seasonal items that cost $1-$3. These Jumbo Eggs were only $1 a piece. We bought a few white & black but they also come in pink.

No paint & paint brushes, this time we are going at this in such an easy way..  we are using Gold Metallic Sharpie Markers!

Different patterns & designs on different eggs. On one, all gold circles. One little trick, use the cap from a medicine bottle to outline the circles. Sure stencils would work great but who doesn’t have free medicine bottles with caps around the house.. so many different sizes to choose from.

Next, we color the circles in.

For our Solid Line Pattern we created on 2 of the Jumbo Eggs, we used a plastic container to create our straight line edges. One egg we created straight lines & the other an angle.

and again, color within the lines. Keep in mind, perfectly imperfect works well.

Another crazy easy design is stipple, aka, dots. Very difficult to mess this up because you can keep putting dots wherever you want. Fill it up or partial or pattern.

These jumbo eggs can be decorated in so many different ways. Anything goes. You don’t have to be an artist or super crafter, anyone can do these. Have fun!

I love these they look too sophisticated to break. I’m Greek Orthodox and we have a tradition where we break the eggs by cracking them with each other and the one who comes out intact at the end has good luck for the rest of the year. And these are just too pretty to want to crack.

Well, those are just fabulous! Love the color combo and patterns you used. I’m not a fan of pastels, so I love this idea for being seasonal and still chic! Thanks for linking at Creativity Unleashed.
